Successful development of colorful titanium stamping plates for architectural decoration

Recently, the "Preparation Method of Colorful Titanium Stamping Plate for Architectural Decoration" developed by Baoji Titanium Industry Research Institute has been awarded a national invention patent. It is reported that this invention has been widely applied in the construction of the Fujian Taiwan Cultural and Creative Industry Park, and the exterior walls of over 6000 square meters of buildings in the five major venues have been decorated with golden titanium plates.


Titanium has become a new favorite in the field of architectural decoration in marine climate areas due to its excellent corrosion resistance. Iconic buildings such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Hangzhou Centre for the Performing Arts, and Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts all use titanium as exterior wall decoration material, but these domestic buildings without exception use titanium plates produced in Japan. The surface light translation of domestically produced titanium plates is inconsistent, resulting in different reflections under sunlight, which seriously affects the overall effect of the building. In order to solve this problem, Baoji Titanium Industry Research Institute has organized a large amount of research on surface treatment, polishing, coloring, shaping, and nano anti fingerprint technology of titanium materials, and has achieved significant scientific research results. In the bidding for the exterior wall of the Mintai Cultural and Creative Industry Park in Fujian, the design of Baoji Titanium Industry Research Institute won the bid in one fell swoop. The 6000 square meter building decoration exterior wall is made of titanium coil tape as the material, and is processed by surface drawing, polishing, and coloring to create a golden bamboo tube shape. It is then installed on the exterior wall of the building through on-site construction. This invention has realized the application of existing titanium plates in the field of architectural decoration in China, solved the problems that have plagued domestic titanium applications, and broken Japan's monopoly on titanium for architectural decoration, which is of great significance.

It is reported that the invention of Baoji Titanium Industry Research Institute has attracted the attention of many well-known designers in the domestic construction field and industry. Some designers have started to add "titanium elements" to their designs based on this. Some yacht design institutes abroad have also come to consult on this technological achievement, hoping to apply it in yacht decoration. I believe this invention will have a positive impact on the application of titanium in the field of architectural decoration.
